The annual China Roadshow offers Australian wineries an opportunity to connect with influential Chinese importers, distributors, wholesalers and media to drive awareness and increase export sales of Australian wine. In 2019, the China Roadshow will travel to three Tier 2 cities, Tianjin, Hangzhou and Kunming and one Tier 1 city, Shenzhen. Wine Australia and its partners aim to attract 4,000 delegates in 2019, from importers, distributors, wholesalers, sommeliers, buyers, media, influencers and VIP consumers.

We are no longer taking expressions of interest or registrations for China Roadshow 2019. This event was promoted to Australian wine businesses from 17 April 2018 via the Wine Australia website, marketing newsletters and regional communications.

Exhibitor queries
All Australians travelling to China require a visa. It is recommended that you apply for a Business Visa (M) about one month before your intended date of entry into China but not earlier than three months prior.
A ‘Letter of Invitation’ from Wine Australia inviting you to do business in China is required as part of your visa application. You can request your visa invitation letter from Wine Australia's China Office by completing this form.
Useful Resources
We can assist in sourcing you an translator to work with in each city. Please fill out your details in the form below, and select which cities you require a translator no later than 12th April.
Booking arrangements will be managed on your behalf, however all invoicing will be between you and the translation provider. The cost per city for a translator is to be confirmed, however budgeting approx. RMB800 per day (10:00am - 6:00pm) should suffice.
Wine logistics
We recommend 4 bottles per SKU per city for the free-pour tasting exhibition.

Wine Australia is consolidating stock in Qingdao with Hellmann Logistics. All information on this will be provided to those who selected to deliver their wines to Qingdao. If you need further information, please email: chinalogistics@wineaustralia.com
Delivery deadline to have all your in-market wine to the China warehouse is 15 April 2019.
All exhibitors are responsible for their left-over wine in each city. We recommend you gift or take with you any unopened bottles. Any bottles left in the exhibition space at the end of the day will be disposed of.
Exhibitor stand
No, please do not bring along any additional marketing materials. Wine Australia is creating marketing collateral and signage for each city.
The only items that will be accepted are flyers or tasting notes or if you have an iPad or tablet you wish to display on your table.
A banner with the winery brand name will be standing behind each exhibiting table.
In each city on the tour, the Wine Australia crew will hold a mandatory exhibitor event briefing at 11am, then you’ll have time to unpack your wines and set up. At 12:30pm lunch will be served in a break out room for you. Only 2 tickets per Exhibitor table will be given out for complimentary lunch.
You will be required to be back at your table by 1:15pm, ready for doors at 1:30pm sharp.
No. Necessary tasting facilities such as clean glasses, spittoons, ice-buckets and ice will be prepared by Wine Australia and venues.
Travel and accomodation
All Exhibitors travelling as part of the roadshow should align to the information supplied in the below Travel Handbook. This has been put together with your key call times per city in mind, as well as considering down time whilst you travel, where possible. It is recommended that you work very closely to this proposed plan to ensure you are where you need to be in a timely manner.
