Held in Taipei, the Australian Wine Showcase 2019 offers Australian wineries an opportunity to connect and network with influential Taiwanese importers, distributors, wholesalers and media to drive awareness and increase export sales of Australian wine to this market.

Proposed Schedule

Morning

  • Austrade market overview, and business insights from trade professionals
  • Retail tour to explore the varying formats of wine retail in Taiwan, hosted by Austrade

Afternoon

  • Trade tasting showcase - present your brand and promote your products, explore opportunities and network with trade trade, media, KOLs and educators

Evening

  • Consumer tasting event - for those brands already in market, this sampling opportunity helps to educate consumers and build confidence, brand recognition, loyalty and generate sales.

Registration 

Registrations for this event opened on 7th June 2019, and closed on the 9th August 2019. The event was promoted to Australian wine businesses via the Wine Australia website, marketing newsletters and regional communications.

Cost to participate

AUD$1600 ex GST per table, with a maximum of 10 SKUs. Additional SKUs, $160 ex GST per SKU. 

Special conditions and participation criteria
  • Participation is only open to wine producers as well as agents, distributors or exporters working directly with the winery/ies, regardless of whether they have existing importers in the Taiwan market.
  • New-to-market brands must be able to demonstrate they are export ready if required.
  • Winery brands only (no private labels, bulk wines, export-only labels, BOB, etc.).
  • Brands must demonstrate existing sales in the Australian domestic market.
  • At least one wine from each brand to be showcased at this event musts have received 90 points and above from a widely recognised and reputable third party.
  • Participation may be subject to a maximum number of tables. Wine Australia will represent its stakeholders fairly and endeavour to meet all space requests.
  • Participation is at the discretion of Wine Australia.
