Relationships
We work closely with partners to foster and encourage profitable, resilient and sustainable Australian winegrape and wine businesses. Our partners include grapegrowers, wine producers, wine exporters and the Australian Government; national, state and regional representative organisations; research providers; state governments; wine industry suppliers; international regulators; the media and consumers.
The Australian Government is a contributor of research and innovation funding - matching dollar-for-dollar the levy investment from Australia's grapegrowers and wine producers. We also work closely with the Australian Government to enhance market opportunities and reduce barriers to trade.
Representative organisations
Australian Grape & Wine Incorporated(AGW) is the national sector body that represents Australia's grape and wine producers on political, social and regulatory issues across the production and supply chain.
AGW is Wine Australia's representative organisation under the Wine Australia Act 2013. AGW was created on 1 February 2019, after the merger of the Winemakers' Federation of Australia and Australian Vignerons.
Research and Development Corporations
We invest with other Australian Research and Development Corporations (RDCs) in cross-sectoral collaborative research to deliver research, development and adoption benefits to the broader agricultural and Australian community.
Marketing partners
We collaborate with our marketing partners on international engagement activities. These partners include wine businesses, Australian Government agencies (such as Austrade), state and regional associations, state governments and other RDCs with market-development responsibilities.
Research providers
We fund research and innovaton for the Australian grape and wine community. Our researchand innovation providers include universities, state agencies and private organisations. We also fund the Wine Australia Regional Program to actively encourage and support research and innovation in the Australian wine sector.
