Wine Australia’s May 2025 Roadshow is now open for registration. We will be visiting Chicago, Montreal, Toronto and Washington D.C. from May 3 to May 13, 2025.
Bringing together a diverse and exciting collection of wines, regions and styles to re-engage with trade is key to helping us challenge trade and consumer perceptions about Australian wine in North America. From classic wines and old vines to innovative expressions and emerging varieties – there has never been a more exciting time in Australian wine, and there is a lot of work to be done in North America around education and sharing those stories.
Thank you to everyone who has already submitted an EOI for this roadshow. If you’re still interested in participating, we encourage you to go ahead and register now. Importers and wineries are welcome to participate in one or more cities (please note this not a new to market opportunity).
- Chicago – Saturday May 3, 2025
There is no trade program in Chicago, however we are planning a consumer activation there. More details on how to get involved will be shared separately at a later date.
- Toronto – Tuesday May 6, 2025
- Montreal – Thursday May 8, 2025
- Washington D.C. – Tuesday May 13, 2025
In Toronto, Montreal and Washington D.C., Wine Australia will plan and host a trade seminar, and trade walkaround tasting. The Washington D.C. events will be held at the Australian Embassy, and we will confirm venues for the other cities when registration is complete.
We encourage importers, agents and wineries to use these Wine Australia activities as anchor events to plan around, and to book in winemaker dinners, staff trainings, agent / distributor trainings and more if any visiting winemakers or principals can attend in person.
If you are a winemaker or winery principal that plans to travel over to exhibit, please let us know through this form, as there are some additional activities in planning where winemaker participation may be a benefit and / or requirement.
Importers, agents and wineries interesting in participating in any or all of the cities can register through the links below. We encourage exhibitors to show flagship wines, new releases and lighter, fresher styles to meet trade and consumer demand in this market.
Consumer Tastings Added
We are finalizing details for consumer tastings in each market, and the wines featured in those consumer events will be selected from the participating exhibitors, at no additional cost (beyond providing samples). Once registration is closed and your place is confirmed, we’ll be asking you to complete wine submission forms, and making selections for the consumer events from that list.
Costs and Criteria
Wine Australia is subsidizing table costs for these events to encourage broad participation. Updated table costs for exhibitors (after the 50% Wine Australia subsidy).
Per City:
- $325 USD / $450 CAD / $500 AUD per half table (up to 6 SKUs)
- $650 USD / $900 CAD / $1,000 AUD for full table (up to 12 SKUs)
*Wineries / importers / agents are responsible for the cost of samples used.
Registration Deadline: 9 December 2024
You will receive an invoice in January 2025.
Space is limited and we require a minimum of 10 full tables purchased for this activity to move forward. Final registration confirmations will be made by December 16, 2024.
Current distribution in Ontario, Quebec and/or Washington D.C. is required for participation. This is not a new to market activity.
Please confirm with your importer / agent(s) before registering, as they (or your distributors in each market) will be responsible for delivering samples, and will need to represent your wines if a winemaker or winery principal will not be present.
