Wine Australia is thrilled to confirm that the BCLDB will be visiting Australia early next year (29 January – 7 February). We have worked closely with the category team to build a comprehensive visit that will aim to continue to progress our work in refreshing and building an exciting Australian assortment at the BCLDB.
The itinerary has been created by Wine Australia in partnership with the BCLDB category team. Regions and producers will be selected to meet the specific requirements and requests from the BCLDB while considering market need, significant existing partnerships, and new opportunities to refresh the current assortment. The itinerary has been developed to maximize the number of producers and regions visited without compromising on experience and the enjoyment of the visit.
Several regions throughout New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria will be included. Due to the limited time spent on ground, some regions will be included in the form of masterclasses or regional tastings in CBDs.
The following regions will host the BCLDB:
- Riverland
- Barossa
- McLaren Vale
- Adelaide Hills
- Yarra Valley
There will also be regional tastings in the following CBDs to showcase wines from within the state from regions outside of the above:
- Melbourne CBD (opportunity for wines from Victoria outside of Yarra Valley)
- Sydney CBD (opportunity for wines from across NSW)
Lastly, there will be an opportunity for wineries to submit wines for consideration for a ‘General Listing’ tasting, which will showcase wines that will fit into the continuously available, higher volume channel within the BCL. For more information on this opportunity, please CLICK HERE.
The BCLDB has provided a set of guidelines that must be met in order to be considered for the itinerary. If you and/or your wines fit within any of the below specifications, and you would like to be considered please be sure to fill out the link below.
