Development of regional IPM best practice

Abstract

The diverse viticultural production environments within Australia make it necessary to validate, review and redevelop pest management strategies at a regional and vineyard level. The tools and resources generated in this project provide a framework for the development of regional risk management strategies, as well as revised pest management guidelines. Regional risk profiles have been developed and include risk classifications based on disease modelling data, and questionnaire and reporting templates have been developed to summarise grower benchmarking data. An extension package and support materials have been developed for regional dissemination.

Summary

To develop regional risk assessments for key pests and diseases and enhance viticultuist’s capacity to assess IPM targets and to facilitate information flow within regions and between regions and researchers.
