Abstract

Improved vineyard profitability and sustainability through modelling the grapevine-environment interaction and resultant decision support VineLOGIC demonstration to industry: focus group meetings

Summary

Six focus group workshops were conducted at CSIRO Plant Industry, Merbein and the Plant Research Centre in Adelaide. Recommendations included (a) preparation and release of an education version of VineLOGIC by June 2001, (b) address medium term deficiencies (rootstocks, irrigation options, multiple years) and long term deficiencies (berry sugars, nitrogen nutrition and cover crops) for inclusion in a subsequent version of VineLOGIC, subject to the availability of resources.
