Barossa Mentoring - Project 2
Abstract
In partnership with Wine Australia, the Barossa Grape and Wine Association established two mentoring circles over 2015 and 2016. The purpose of the circles was threefold:
- to encourage innovative business practices and the adoption of new research and development findings;
- to offer personal and professional development opportunities, and
- to establish networks and collaborative partnerships to assist information flow and knowledge sharing.
This report details the operational details of the circles. A report on the value provided by mentoring was authored by Prof. Lisa Given (CSU 1401)
Summary
At the final meeting of the 2015/16 BMC, participants were asked if they had achieved the goals they had established at the beginning of the program. Extensive notes were taken at this meeting – and can be supplied (with names confidential) upon request.
Each 2015/16 BMC participant made significant progress with their personal and business goals during the program – and all have plans on how to continue with this progress going forward.
Strong bonds were formed within the group, with several members touching base on an ongoing basis due to the relationship they have built in 2015/16.
