ABARES has published its latest Agricultural Commodities Report, which contains their forecasts for the value, volume and price of Australia's agricultural production and exports for the next five years, including wine and winegrapes.

ABARES has also prepared and published grape price forecasts for the inland regions for key red and white varieties for the 2023–24 and 2024–25 vintages. They have forecast price declines in most of the reported varieties in both years, driven by declining demand for wine and high existing stocks, both domestically and globally.

The inclusion of winegrape forecasting into this report is one of the deliverables of the collaborative project to improve winegrape price transparency with Wine Australia, Australian Grape & Wine and the Inland Wine Region Alliance, funded by the Australian Government's Improving Market Transparency in Perishable Agricultural Good Industries initiative
