Travel and scholar bursaries
Grape and wine researchers are reminded that applications for the next round of Wine Australia’s travel and incoming scholar bursaries will close on Friday 2 October 2015.
Each year, Wine Australia invests $50,000 in travel bursaries and $30,000 in incoming scholar bursaries with applications open every six months.
Grape and wine researchers are invited to apply for the bursaries to fund travel, study tours or conferences they wish to attend to develop their knowledge and skills, and network with the international research community.
Incoming scholar bursaries are to bring international experts to Australia to participate in workshops, meetings, conferences, symposia or research projects.
In the 2015-16 financial year, at least 15 travel bursaries are on offer and funding is available for at least 2 visiting scholars to participate in information dissemination to the Australian grape and wine community.
The application process gives preference to those who are currently making, or who are potentially able to make, a significant contribution to research and the travel must relate to their research interest and expertise.
Applicants are advised to consult the Australian Grape and Wine Authority Strategic Plan 2015-2020 and the guidelines for both the travel and scholar bursaries when developing their applications.
The bursaries are for travel that commences between 1 January and 30 June 2016.
