Notice of proposed Geographical Indication Wilyabrup
Opportunity to object
In accordance with Regulation 40R of the Wine Australia Act 2013 (Wine Australia Act), an application has been made to the Geographical Indications Committee established under section 40N of the Wine Australia Act for the determination of the region Wilyabrup as a geographical indication (GI).
Invitation to make written objections
Persons are invited to make written objections to the Registrar of Trade Marks in relation to the proposed GI on a ground set out in section 40RB of the Wine Australia Act until 11 February 2018.

Objections must be accompanied by the fee of $500 and addressed to:

Alternatively, objections can be submitted electronically using IP Australia’s ‘eServices’ via www.ipaustralia.gov.au and the $500 fee can be paid electronically by using the following method:
Under MYPAYMENTS choose:
- general payments (Includes: Invitation to Pay, Invoices, Underpayments)
- other payment, and
- in the instructions field enter ‘Objection to geographical indication’ and follow prompts.
If any party objects to the determination, the Registrar of Trade Marks will write to all the parties, inviting them to file relevant evidence within three months of the date of the invitation to lodge evidence.
