Clare Valley Geographical Indication
The Australian Geographical Indication "Clare Valley" was entered in the Register of Protected Names on 25 March 1999 in response to a direction received by the Registrar from the Presiding Member of the Geographical Indications Committee acting under Section 40Z of the WAC Act 1980.

The Geographical Indication "Clare Valley" is located within the zone Mount Lofty Ranges, within the State of South Australia, Australia.
The beginning point of the boundary is situated on Map Spalding (Sheet 6630-4) at grid reference TH696675, being the intersection of an unsealed road and the Main North Road, then proceeds east south easterly along the Main North Road until its intersection with Anama Lane at grid reference TH732663, then proceeds generally easterly along Anama Lane crossing the Clare to Spalding Road at grid reference TH760663 and continuing to its intersection with the Clare to Hilltown Road at grid reference TH823658, then proceeds generally southerly along the Clare to Hilltown Road to its intersection with unsealed road at grid reference TH723657, then proceeds generally easterly along the unsealed road until the unsealed road becomes a vehicular track at grid reference TH847661, then proceeds generally east and then north east along vehicular track until it crosses unnamed creek at grid reference TH864666, then proceeds generally north easterly along another unnamed creek until it meets vehicular track at grid reference TH876676, then proceeds in a north easterly direction along vehicular track to the Old Stone Wall on the top of the Camels Hump Range at grid reference TH880679, then proceeds in a south south easterly direction following the Old Stone Wall to the edge of map at grid reference TH894633; On to Map Clare (Sheet 6630-III) at grid reference TH894633, then proceeds along the same Old Stone Wall on the top of Camels Hump Range in a generally southerly direction crossing the Clare to Farrell Flat Road at grid reference TH897557, then proceeds in a straight line along Camels Hump Range in a generally southerly direction to the intersection of an unsealed road and a vehicular track at grid reference TH889524, then proceeds east south east along the unsealed road to the intersection with a vehicular track at grid reference TH903523, then proceeds south south west along the vehicular track to the unsealed roads at grid reference TH901506, then proceeds in the same straight line along unsealed road to its intersection with another unsealed road at grid reference TH889494, then proceeds south easterly along another unsealed road, crossing the Mintaro to Farrell Flat Road to the underground natural gas pipeline at grid reference TH916488;
