Riverlink – Supporting industry and R and D agency coordination in Australia’s main winegrape production area
Abstract
Riverlink provides a pathway for effective collaboration between industry and government research and development providers in the Sunraysia-Riverland region. This project ensured that programs within Riverlink’s collaborative network were efficient and responsive to the needs of clients and staff. A new process for setting priorities and developing projects for wine grape industry research, development and extension was introduced where priorities raised by wine and grape producers are ranked and included in a research plan that is used for new project development. Key sources of information on projects, activities and services include Riverlink’s redeveloped website and annual wine grape industry symposium.
Summary
Riverlink works with regional horticulture industries and research agencies across the SA, Vic and NSW irrigation areas to determine research priorities and develop collaborative projects that make efficient use of resources in the region.
