The 2019 China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai is China’s import exhibition, promoting seven major industries including Food and Agricultural products.
Over 800,000 trade guests attended the inaugural CIIE event in 2018. Wine Australia’s participation at the 2019 CIIE, from 5 to 10 November 2019, is the first activity in a concentrated campaign that Wine Australia will deliver during November 2019 which includes the China Awards, ProWine China, Decanter Fine Wine Encounter and events in Taiwan.
Wine Australia will participate in the CIIE Austrade Pavilion, collaborating with partner Rural Research Development Corporations: Meat and Livestock Australia, Dairy Australia and Horticulture Innovation Australia to leverage premium food credentials to promote Australian premium wine. Wine Australia is aligning investment and category activities with wineries and distributors that are currently exhibiting at the CIIE. A strong Australian Wine Discovered educational component and structured tastings will ensure that relevant trade that attend the Austrade bar/restaurant section, develop a positive perception of Australian wine. Wine Australia’s enhanced presence at the 2019 China International Import Expo is supported by the Australian Government’s $50 million Export and Regional Wine Support Package.
