As required by our funding agreement with the Commonwealth Government, Wine Australia has engaged an independent team of consultants to undertake a comprehensive review of our performance.
The terms of reference are to evaluate:
- The performance of Wine Australia in meeting its obligations under the Wine Australia Act and the Funding Agreement with the Commonwealth
- Wine Australia’s development and implementation of its Corporate Plan (Strategic Plan), Annual Operational Plan, Risk Management Plan, Fraud Control Plan and Intellectual Property Management Plan, and Wine Australia’s effectiveness in meeting the priorities, targets and budgets set out in those plans
- The efficiency with which Wine Australia carried out those plans
- The efficiency and effectiveness of Wine Australia’s investments, and
- The delivery of benefits to the sector foreshadowed by those plans, including an assessment of the degree to which Wine Australia’s investments have met the needs of the sector.
The team of consultants, headed by Scott Williams of Forest Hill Consulting, is contacting a selection of stakeholders to discuss our performance. They have also established a website www.wineaustreview.org with further details about the review and an email address to accept submissions.
If you would like to make a submission to the review, or if you would like to be contacted about any matter relating to this review, please email submissions@wineaustreview.org. Submissions should be received by Friday 10 August 2018.
