Wine Australia is launching new export software in July to deliver what exporters have been looking for – enhanced access, greater flexibility and self-service for edits and amendments.
The new system will allow:
- greater control and enhanced access 24 x 7
- users to apply online for all import certificates and, once approved, users can make minor changes such as shipment departure dates online, and
- greater control of accounts, including review and payment online in real time.
During the past months, Wine Australia has been working closely with a user group including small, medium and large exporters to ensure the new Wine Australia Licensing and Approval System (WALAS) meets their needs.
To ensure as seamless a transition as possible when the new system comes online in July this year, Wine Australia is rolling out a national program of training to ensure that as many businesses as practicable have access to training sessions before they use the new system.
Engaging in the training sessions will help people become familiar with the new WALAS system before its launch and minimise potential business impacts.
The regional training sessions will be backed by on-line tutorials that will provide refreshers following the training and act as guides for those who export rarely or can’t attend training.
A training session in Mandarin will be held in Adelaide on Tuesday 18 June. If there is sufficient demand, this session will also be simultaneously run as a webinar.
